Ministry: Number of part-time employed Russians grows
MOSCOW, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- The number of Russians working part-time on initiative of their employers has continued to increase lately, Labor and Social Protection Minister Maxim Topilin said, as cited in a ministry's statement on Monday.
“In the last few weeks we saw a growing number of employees having a down time on the initiative of administrations, working part-time, and also workers on vacations by agreement with employers. The number of such workers rose by almost 20,000 over the first week of June,” Topilin said.
The number of people employed part-time amounted to 328,500 on June 10.
The number of registered unemployed fell 0.6% from June 3 to 993,829 on June 10, Topilin said.
